Abstract:

Intestinal microbiome plays a crucial role in regulating human metabolism, immune function and
behavior, and has been established in the fetal period. Microbes and their metabolites in various parts of the mother's body are transmitted upward through the blood and vagina to the fetal tissues, and affect the neural development of the fetus and the establishment and start of the immune system. The processes of the existence, development and change of microorganisms during the fetal period have profound significance for the fetal development and the health status of the fetus after delivery. This article focuses on the initial colonization period, source route of intestinal microorganisms in the fetal period and their impact on fetal development, so as to better understand the interaction between microorganisms in the fetal period and the fetus and its relationship with long-term health, and provide reference for relevant research on improving short-term and long-term health of infants.
