剪接因子PTBP1生物学功能研究进展

摘 要:

多聚嘧啶区结合蛋白1 (polypyrimidine tract-binding protein 1, PTBP1)是一种常见的RNA结合蛋白,在多种疾病的发生和发展中发挥重要作用。PTBP1的一个主要功能是作为剪接因子(splicing factor, SF)。它通过结合靶基因前体mRNA的特定序列,选择性地剪接外显子或内含子从而产生不同的mRNA亚型,进而在细胞分化、细胞周期与凋亡、细胞运动、细胞代谢和免疫响应等多个生物学过程中发挥重要的调控作用。

Abstract:

Polypyrimidine tract binding protein 1 (PTBP1) is a common RNA binding protein that plays an essential role in the occurrence and development of various diseases. The main function of PTBP1 is acting as a splicing factor (SF). It can bind to the specific sequence of target pre-mRNAs, and direct alternative splicing to produce multiple mRNA isoforms, thus participating in many cellular biological processes such as cell differentiation, cell cycle transition and apoptosis, cell motility, cell metabolism and immune response.
