卵泡抑素样蛋白1在纤维化疾病中的作用研究进展

摘 要:

纤维化是细胞外基质过度沉积的结果,是多种慢性疾病的共同病理特征,会导致器官结构破坏和功能丧失。卵泡抑素样蛋白1 (follistatin-like protein 1, Fstl1)是广泛表达于除造血谱系细胞外各种组织器官中的分泌性糖蛋白。近年来,越来越多的研究表明,Fstl1在肺、肝、肾、心脏、皮肤纤维化的发生与发展中
发挥关键作用。最近,有研究解析了Fstl1关键结构域的晶体结构,对进一步阐明Fstl1发挥生物学功能的机制至关重要。该文对Fstl1的结构、表达分布及其在纤维化疾病中的作用进行综述,以期为临床治疗和药物开发提供潜在靶点。

The role of follistatin-like protein 1 in fibrotic diseases: research advances

Abstract:

Fibrosis is the result of excessive deposition of extracellular matrix and is a common pathological feature
of many chronic diseases, which can lead to the destruction of organ structure and loss of function. Follistatin-like protein 1 (Fstl1) is a secreted glycoprotein widely expressed in various tissues and organs except hematopoietic lineage cells. In recent years, more and more studies have shown that Fstl1 plays a key role in the occurrence and development of lung, liver, kidney, heart and skin fibrosis. Recently, studies have revealed the crystal structure of the key domain of Fstl1, which is crucial to further clarify the biological function and mechanism of Fstl1. This article reviews the structure and expression distribution of Fstl1 and its role in fibrotic diseases, with a view to provide potential targets for clinical treatment and drug development.
