Abstract:

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of adult death worldwide, and it is a serious threat to human health. A-kinase anchoring proteins (AKAPs) are a type of scaffold proteins that are ubiquitous in cells. They can bind to various kinases in cells to ensure the temporal and spatial accuracy of kinases, regulating intracellular signal transduction, involving in regulating many physiological functions of the human body. As a multivalent anchor protein, AKAP79/150 modulates the spatiotemporal coordination of multiple signal transduction molecules, enabling accurate signal transduction, participating in the regulation of cardiovascular physiological and pathological processes. Therefore, this article reviews the mechanism and advances in research on AKAP79/150-mediated cardiovascular regulation.
