Abstract:

Abstract: Circadian clock is an internal rhythm formed by organisms to adapt to the rotation of the earth. The circadian clock in the mammal body is closely related to endocrine, metabolic regulation and disease. With the change in life styles and work patterns of humans, the disordered circadian clock can affect human health step by step. Evidence has confirmed that the mammal’s diets not only provide substances and energy to the body, but also become the important ways to regulate biological clock. However, there are differences in the regulation of biological clock by the intake of different substances. This article reviews the research progress in biological clock regulation by several plant secondary metabolites, such as resveratrol, tea polyphenols, and caffeine.
