昆虫线性单链DNA病毒表达策略研究进展

摘 要:摘 要:昆虫线性单链DNA (linear single-stranded DNA, linear-ssDNA) 病毒感染的昆虫种类很广泛。它们主要归属于细小病毒科(Parvoviridae) 的浓核病毒亚科(Densovirinae) 和二分DNA 病毒科(Bidnaviridae)。近年来,随着宏基因组学方法的发展,越来越多的昆虫linear-ssDNA 病毒被发现,其基因组转录模式也逐渐被解析。昆虫linear-ssDNA 病毒的基因组具有双义和单义两种类型,因此,该文将阐述双义和单义两种类型基因组的表达策略特征。总结来讲,其主要是通过未剪接(unsplicing)、选择性剪接(alternative splicing)、选择性多聚腺苷酸化(alternative polyadenylation) 等转录方式产生多种转录本,采用选择性起始(alternative initiation)、漏扫描(leaky scanning) 或移框(frameshifing) 等方式表达蛋白质。现综述昆虫linearssDNA病毒的表达模式类型和研究进展,为研究其他的linear-ssDNA 病毒的表达策略提供理论参考。

The research progress on the expression strategy of linear single-stranded DNA viruses in insects

Abstract: Abstract: There are a wide variety of insect species infected with the linear single-stranded DNA (linear-ssDNA) virus, which belongs to subfamily Densovirinae of family Parvoviridae and family Bidnaviridae. In recent years, with the development of metagenomic methods, more and more insect linear-ssDNA viruses have been discovered, and the transcription patterns of their genome have gradually been analyzed. The organization of genome have two types with monosense or ambisense among linear-ssDNA viruses in insects. Thus, in this paper, we will describe the expression characteristics of both the monosense and ambisense genomes. In summary, it mainly produces a variety of transcripts through unsplicing, alternative splicing, alternative polyadenylation, and the protein expressed by alternative initiation, leaky scanning or frameshifing. We reviewed the expression pattern and research progress of linear-ssDNA virus in insects, which provide a theoretical reference for studying the transcription strategies of other linear-ssDNA viruses.
