Abstract: Abstract: Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) has close relationship with the development of human cancer. Colon cancer associated transcription factor (CCAT) 2, a newly identified member of many lncRNAs in 2013, has been found to be up-regulated in various cancers such as colorectal, liver, breast and gastric cancer. It not only develops a complicated network of cancer controlled under the signaling pathways like Wnt, PI3K/AKT/mTOR and GSK3β/β-catenin, but also plays an important role in cell proliferation, invasion/metastasis and cell apoptosis. All above suggests CCAT2 could be expected to become a new target for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Therefore, this paper summarizes the research progress of CCAT2 with cancer in recent years.
