Abstract: Abstract: Regulator of reprogramming (RoR) is a newly identified long noncoding RNA (lncRNA). Studies have indicated that lncRNA RoR not only plays an important role in reprogramming, but also significantly affects the development of cancer. Based on recent research progress on lncRNA RoR, we summarized its effects on the growth, proliferation, invasion, migration and chemoresistance of the cancer cells of the liver, breast, colon, pancreat, nasopharynx, and so on. Its negative regulatory effect on tumor suppressor gene p53 is also included. These evidence strongly suggests that lncRNA RoR functions as an oncogenic lncRNA and may be as a cancer therapeutic target.
