靶向Ezh2的肿瘤干细胞治疗策略

摘 要:摘 要:众所周知,癌症仍然是不治之症。其不治的一个可能原因是治疗癌症时没有能清除肿瘤干细胞,从而导致复发,因此,清除肿瘤干细胞可能可以治愈癌症。研究发现,组蛋白甲基转移酶Ezh2 是肿瘤干细胞存活和生长所必需的,抑制Ezh2 的组蛋白甲基转移酶活性,可能可以抑制肿瘤干细胞存活和生长,从而治愈癌症。

Targeting Ezh2 in cancer stem cells

Abstract: Abstract: Cancer is still a deadly disease. One of the reasons is that current cancer treatments do not eradicate cancer stem cells, which lead to relapse. Therefore, eradicating cancer stem cells may be able to cure cancer. Ezh2 is a histone methyltransferase and has been found to be essential for survival and growth of cancer stem cells. Therefore, the inhibibition of Ezh2 methyltransferase activity may cure cancer by promoting apoptosis or inhibiting the growth of cancer stem cells.
