Abstract: Abstract: Long noncoding RNAs are transcripts longer than 200 nt with no protein-coding potential. In the past decades, they have been regarded as “junk gene”. However, recent studies indicate long noncoding RNAs participate in a wide repertoire of biological processes including tumor metastasis. Cancer is still a major health problem and about 90% of cancer patients die of metastatic tumor instead of primary tu+-mor. Revealing the mechanism of tumor metastasis is crucial for understanding the nature of biology regulation as well as cancer treatment. Here, we summarize the recent research discoveries of roles of long noncoding RNAs in tumor metastasis, and wish this review might facilitate to disclose more long noncoding RNAs involved in the process of tumor progression.
